Problems after installing Windows 7 alongside Windows 8

I'm doing this on behalf my friend who I'm helping do the dual boot and we have come across errors and messages etcetera such as "the partitions on the disk selected for installation are not in the recommended order GPT" (we clicked OK to proceed) but we finally got windows 7 installed using UEFI mode. However, the problem we're having now is that some kind of Windows 7 lookalike boot loader appears, but it appears in a fancy graphical way such as the white bars at the top and bottom move across the screen slowly and the text comes in at a line at a time. When it does appear it says pick an operating system, but when we try and move using the keyboard is doesn't do anything, so we can't get back into Windows 8

Bootmgr issues with windows 7 - can windows 8 upgrade fix it?

*newbie lady here - forgive me for any naive posting!*
I'm not completely technical but i can follow stuff well, so bear with me.
The dell laptop our family have been using was full of junk. I mean ridiculous. We decided we had what we wanted on an external hard drive and we were more than happy to just wipe the whole thing as state from a factory state again.
I went into the option for the factory reset and it asked if i wanted to make a back up of anything. Hmmm, I thought, and I selected pictures and videos but that was it. I then left it and it took about an hour to do that. then it said it was ready to be reset so i went with it.
Now? I Get the Bootmgr thing. I've tried to reboot it from all the options, but theres nothing from it

Hello,
I am trying to install Windows 7 back on my Lenevo laptop following the process:
I installed Windows 7 from an online site called "Dreamspark" which is available to me as a student at my school. The file is an ISO file and after I downloaded it I ran the Setup up, clicked on "Install Now", then on "Go online to get the latest updates for installation (recommended)."
However I get the error:
"Windows 7 error windows could not update the installation files. to install windows, close Setup and restart the installation. Error code: 0x0".
Now if I don't click on the option to get the latest updates...and instead just click on install, and select the partition in the C Drive I get the followi

Would like to know why we can't install Adobe Flash Player on Windows 8. It is not offered in the Windows App Store and without I can't download the older, original versions of Angry Birds. I have a Microsoft Surface.
