Are there external HD products that work with windows 7 backup using USB 3?

My WD Elements fails with USB 3. Do other brands work? Aparently Windows 8 has fixed this bug but that doesn't help me. Is Microsoft addressing this?

Hi, there are multiple Windows 7 upgrade deals out there, but i was wondering instead of installing vista first would you be able to just install the RTM and put the key in there and all will be good?
Also, has OEM pricing been released at all yet?
thanks!

Canon i9900 printer won't work with Windows 7 (64)
location:
microsoft.com - date:
January 1, 2010
I just got a new laptop with Windows 7 (64) and can't seem to get my Canon i9900 printer to connect to it via my home network. My Canon MX860 printer connected with no problems. I've already gone to the Canon website and downloaded the driver update,
but it won't work. It starts to download, then pops to a new page and says it's installed. Try to connect the printer again, and it states there is no driver available. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Bluetooth headset does not work with Windows 7 - Device is detected.
location:
microsoft.com - date:
February 8, 2010
I have a Dell XPS 1530 which had Vista 32 bit Running. I recently upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate. Ever after that the DELL BH 200 Bluetooth headset does not work with my laptop.
The bluetooth adapter and the device is fine since I am able to search and find all bluetooth devices including my headset. However I get a yellow exclamation mark on the headset under the devices. The headset can be paired with other devices like my mobile
and works fine.
I have already tried updating the drivers and reinstalling the device and adapter from the Device manager. We have a similar configuration on my brother's computer and it works fine .

D-Link Wireless Adapter won't work with Windows 7
location:
microsoft.com - date:
November 30, 2009
I looked in the Windows Compatibility Center and it says that my D-Link Wireless Adapter, WUA-2340 is compatible with Windows 7. Our newest computer can see my wireless network, but won't connect. Worked fine with Vista. So is it compatible or not? I downloaded
the latest drivers from the D-Link website, that version is a year old. I was told by D-link support that it is not compatible with Win 7. They say it's not. MS says it is. It won't connect. Anyone know what's going on? I would like to not have to purchase
a new adapter.

Repair Disk Created With Windows 7 Backup/Restore Won't Work
location:
microsoft.com - date:
August 22, 2012
I have a new HP desktop running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. It is using UEFI firmware and GPT disks. I created a Repair Disk (CD) using Windows 7 Backup/Restore program. The CD completed fine. However, when I try to boot from the repair disk, I get an error
message and it won't work. Does anyone have ideas/solutions?
By the way, I have an HP laptop and creating a Repair disk and booting from it works fine. It is also running Windows 7 Pro but isn't using UEFI firmware.
Thanks for any help.
Ron
