location:

Windows probably has it fixed where this can't happen, but I bought a new machine with Windows 8. Is it possible to wipe the hard drive and install Windows 7 or XP on my new machine ?
Sorry if I posted in the wrong area,

Could I install 32bit hardware drivers in a 64bit system? (Windows Pro 7)
location:
microsoft.com - date:
November 11, 2011
Recently had purchased Lenovo ThinkCentre M81 (5048-CTO), but it's originally installed with Windows 7 Pro 32 bit, I have made a re-installation with the 64 bit later.
Then I have also installed with these drivers bundled along but some of them states the minimum PC requirement does not matched , so I moved to the manufacturer's site and download the latest 64bit drivers, after installed with these drivers, the system will
occur a stop code(stated drivers error).
No matter I have either tried the Windows updates or the manufacturer's driver, it was still having the stop error during Windows start up.

I got an update to the security center for McAfee this morning. I would NOT advise putting it in
After the update, it ran fine until I tried to connect to the net, at which point it froze the entire PC repeatedly every time I tried to connect.

Windows Phone 7 Mango just came out for Samsung Focus, which is what I happen to have. I've been waiting for this update for quite some time now, and had the beta of it. Anyone else here using WP7?
Finally, the compass function of my Focus actually works...

Windows Phone 7 Mango Update - It's Epic!
location:

I'm using the beta of WP7 Mango to post this thread (mobile IE9). Simply amazing... Everything works very smoothly, no GUI lag. Its also great to see all my apps grouped and searchable! IE9 on here is by far the fastest mobile browser I've ever tried. To top it all off, Microsoft has apparently listened to WP7 devs and added a lot more APIs.

Synching contacts on Windows Phone 7.5
location:
7forums.com - date:
October 4, 2012
I have a problem synching my new Lumia 800 phone running WP7.5 with my primary Windows Live account which has the form
[email protected]
I can send and receive emails.
However, my contacts do not update although they must have synched initially because they were imported from my phone at the time I set up its primary Live Id. That is, neither new contacts on the phone nor in my contacts entered via my PC have synched. Thus I have two increasingly divergent sets of contacts, one on the phone and one stored in outlook.com.
Initially the error code on the phone was 86000108, but it is now 80070490 'Attention required'.
By the way, I also have a Googlemail account on the phone and this is synching without any problems.
I do wonder, however,

Windows 95/7 hangs
location:
winsecrets.com - date:

After all these years you would think that Microsoft could at least figure out how to prevent system hangs. [OK! It wasn't their fault this time!]
My system is hanging. Hard. Control-Alt-Delete (one or many) doesn't work. I've tried waiting, once overnight, to see if it would come out of it. The only cure is to hold the power button for a while until the system resets. This has been happening for a couple of weeks. I didn't have time to mess with it at first and it seemed related to FireFox, so I switched to IE-9 and kept working, hoping that another FireFox update would come along and it would magically fix itself. Today it has started hanging while running IE-9, so that was a red herring.
There does not seem to be any particular

Hi there
Anybody got these to work on Windows 8 yet
There's a horrible built in XBOX version for one form of Solitaire but I like the old XP / W7 classic games when I've a few minutes spare -- Hearts or Spider Solitaire with the 4 suit option are great time wasters !!!!
Cheers
