Realtek High Definition Audio, No Sound
location:
7forums.com - date:

This is the second time this has happened.
My audio is not working. No output at all. My audio card is motherboard integrated. As said in the title, it is Realtek High Definition Audio (Speakers). Like I also said, this is the second time this has happened. Last time, I reinstalled my drivers and I was good to go. This time, however, I have reinstalled the drivers 3 times to no avail. When I plug in headphones and externals speakers, though, the audio works. Anyone got any suggestions?
Thanks,
Lucas

Sound works on Win XP (multibooted) but not on Win 7 RC1.
I do not know which sound card my computer is using.
I have a Samsung Sens Q35 laptop.
When I click on the sound icon on the tray on the bottom right, the only device that is listed is Digital Audio (S/PDIF)
When I go to the device manager, it says High Definition Audio Device.
It's version 6.1.7100.0

Realtek high definition audio (onboard ASUS CG5270) -current driver v6.0.1.6043
OS: Win7 64bit
Everything worked great untill last week. I had not made any changes and the update logs did not show any updates.
Issue:
Using "Realtek HD Audio Manager" in the control panel.
The back panel is not showing any speakers connected. (Tested speakers and working on other systems.)
No sound at all until I disabled front panel jack detection. Now I get sound threw the rear speakers but with static at 1/2 volume, no mute, and the "Realtek HD Audio Manager" still shows no rear panel speakers.
Things I've Tryed:
checking connections (cleaning connections) different speakers. uninstalling drivers and software. updating drivers. Rolling bac

Distorted crackling sound when using either 32/64 bit of Windows 7 on Fujitsu Siemens Esprimo V5535 using High Definition Audio Device.

Hi there. I have a problem with sound on my computer. I believe its possibly a bug in Windows 7. Every time I try to play music or watch a video there is some distorted crackling sounds that also come with the audio. I didn't have this problem in XP or
Vista. I have tried everything to resolve this problem from reinstalling the sound drivers to changing them to different ones and actually trying different versions of Windows 7 but to no avail. I had no problems with it using the Windows 7 Beta but I do now
running the 7600 version. And my lapyop is well capable of running Windows 7 - 2.26Ghz CPU, 2GB Ram, 320MB Graphics card - its very fast. Only problem is sound. I have even tried the Realtek sound drivers for it and I get the same pro

Hi,
I just got a new 13" MacBook Pro from work and since I don't know how to use the Mac OS, they installed bootcamp windows 8 on for me.
Bootcamp and windows 8 are both very new to me and I'm having problems with the audio connection from the laptop to the Sony HDTV. With my old Vaio I used to just connect the laptop using an hdmi cable and everything worked fine.
With the Mac, I get video and audio fine using a moshi mini displayport to hdmi adapter but I can only get video and no audio on bootcamp windows 8. I checked in my audio playback setting and there is no option to output through the TV like there is on the
Mac OS and windows 7 I had previously. After looking in device manager, I noticed the High Definition Audio Device w

This device cannot start (Code 10) - High Definition Audio Device AND opening .VHD files.
location:

Just upgraded from Vista Business to 7 Home Premium. (Which meant that I could not have the UPDATE installationl, and had to go for the CUSTOM). In hindsight, not a good idea!
1. No sound from speakers. Tried driver updates. Problem is with the Microsoft High Definition Audio Device. Using Advent T9404, Intel R, 400G HD, 1G RAM. Speakers are not muted and sound card worked fine with Vista.
2. Had a complete backup of Vista immediately prior to upgrade to 7; but - guess what - cannot open .VHD files to look or use it!
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Regards
